Advanced course on ultrasound examination of endometriosis

Suitable for: Specialists in obstetrics and gynecology with at least basic skills in gynecological ultrasound and interest in endometriosis

Program: Lectures, live scanning, case presentations. The course includes image optimization, scanning-technique, pelvic anatomy as seen with ultrasound (central, anterior, posterior and lateral compartment), ultrasound appearance of deep endometriosis in different sites (ovaries, uterus, utero-sacral ligaments, bowel, urinary bladder, abdominal wall, umbilicus, groin, ileo-caekal, nerves), Measurement technique, standardized terminology (IDEA), diagnosis of decidualization of endometriosis during pregnancy and malignization in endometriosis.

Aim: The course aims to give participants a theoretical basis for  using ultrasound to detect endometriosis and adenomyosis and to determine the extent of the disease, to describe the ultrasound findings using standardized terminology, diagnose decidualization in endometriosis and counselling patients with endometriosis about their risk of malignancy

 The course is web-based (Zoom) because of the pandemic. The participants can follow the course from home or any other place.  A computer with camera, microphone and speaker is needed as well as well-functioning internet.  Link, code and program will be distributed before course start.
